  • April 2021 – 20,000th mobile customer
    Three years after its launch, the net+ mobile offer is more popular than ever with customers. The operator based exclusively in French-speaking Switzerland is celebrating its 20,000th mobile customer, and the quality of both its products and customer service is universally recognised.
     
  • April 2021: new CANAL+ French-speaking bundles
    While the battle rages on in the world of streaming and TV content, net+ – the operator based exclusively in French-speaking Switzerland – is set to expand its offer with new CANAL+ French-speaking bundles for families, sports fans, and cinema and TV buffs.
    CANAL+ and net+ are committed to strengthening their partnership by offering a new selection of French-speaking bundles specially adapted to the expectations of consumers in Western Switzerland. A long-term partnership has been agreed between these two players in the multimedia market.
     
  • March 2021: best mobile operator in Switzerland for customer relations
    With a score of 5.4 for customer service in the latest bonus.ch survey, net+ has now been named the best mobile operator in Switzerland for customer relations. net+ is also constantly innovating by collaborating with engineers and product managers in the heart of French-speaking Switzerland.
     
  • December 2020: WarnerMedia bundles
    The operator based exclusively in French-speaking Switzerland is the first in the country to expand its set-top box offer to include WarnerMedia bundles aimed at children and young adults. With access to a wide range of cartoons, films, and critically acclaimed series, families will be spoiled for choice. Content is broadcast on the channels and can also be viewed at your leisure through the on-demand video catalogue.
     
  • August 2020: best mobile operator in Switzerland
    For the second year in a row, net+ is voted the best mobile operator in Switzerland according to a survey of over 10,000 users. The ranking of telecom operators is the result of the largest annual satisfaction survey on telecoms in Swiss households.
     
  • July 2020: Amazon Prime Video
    net+ announced today it is now working with Amazon Prime Video, where for the first time in Switzerland an operator will be adding the Prime Video app to its set-top box. TV fans will now have access to award-winning and critically acclaimed movies and TV shows, including popular Prime Original series. 
     
  • June 2020: new MobiSurfer subscription
    The range of products grows with the new MobiSurfer subscription, providing mobile internet access on a tablet or laptop anywhere in Switzerland thanks to a dedicated SIM card. The concept remains true to net+ values: simplicity and transparency.
     
  • April 2020: leading mobile operator 
    With an average score of 5.4, net+ is far and away the leading mobile operator in 2020 according to the annual satisfaction survey of over 2,100 people carried out by the comparison site bonus.ch. Two years to the day since the launch of its mobile phone services, the net+ strategy has reaped its rewards in an extremely competitive market. After coming in first place in the 2019 “Bilanz Telekom Rating”, the operator based exclusively in French-speaking Switzerland can add another title to its list of accolades.
     
  • April 2019: A first assessment of net+’s mobile offer
    A year after its launch, net+’s mobile offer has won more than 7,000 users. The twelve member networks of net+ are delighted at this success and decide to enhance their subscriptions with new services from 1 June. All clients automatically benefit from these new options at no extra cost.
     
  • March 2018: Mobile phone services and a new signature brand
    net+’s first two mobile phone offers focus on simplicity and transparency. The clients of its shareholding partners can now get all their telecommunications from their local partner while enjoying preferential rates. This development represents the culmination of the Swiss-French multimedia operator’s “all-in-one” strategy.
     
  • January 2018: Services industriels de Lausanne (SiL) becomes a shareholder
    SiL becomes part of netplus.ch SA at the start of 2018. With a stake of 10%, the organisation’s Citycable multimedia operator brings the number of net+ shareholders up to twelve. This success validates the original operational model, which adopted a local and collaborative approach in a sector generally dominated by major players.
     
  • July 2017: Exclusive rights to Swiss ice hockey and the creation of MySports
    The association of cable operators SUISSEDIGITAL, which includes net+’s shareholding partners, obtain the exclusive broadcasting rights for the Swiss ice hockey championship. MySports, the new sports channel from the cable operators, is launched. It becomes the official broadcaster for Swiss ice hockey from the 2017/2018 season onwards. The new channel begins its first live broadcasts in September.
     
  • March 2017: net+ launches on the corporate market with its new Business! brand
    The eleven member networks of net+ boost their activities in the corporate sector with a new range of professional solutions, developed on the technical and commercial infrastructures of its members. These corporate services are offered under the name “Business!”
     
  • January 2016: Two new shareholders join netplus.ch SA
    On 1 January, Société Electrique de la Vallée de Joux SA and VOénergies multimédias SA become shareholders in netplus.ch SA. They join nine other netplus.ch SA shareholders from Fribourg, Valais and Vaud, expanding the marketing area up to the regions of Orbe, Vallorbe and the Vallée de Joux.
     
  • March 2015: Launch of the BLI BLA BLO brand
    Multimedia internet, landline and television services are brought together in the BLI BLA BLO packages. With its brand promise – “The trio that speaks to you” – the group develops an offer that adapts and responds to the actual needs of customers and users in French-speaking Switzerland. This demonstrates the group’s commitment to maintaining and nurturing an optimal long-term relationship that is based on proximity.
     
  • 2013–2014: 7-day Replay TV for the first time in Switzerland
    Catch-up TV (Replay) now covers 7 days, a first in Switzerland. netplus launches cloud recording as well as net+ Mobile TV, a multi-screen app. As of the end of 2014, 30,000 netBoxes are in service
     
  • 2012–2013: Expansion of the netBox offer and of coverage throughout French-speaking Switzerland  
    By opening shareholding to networks in Vaud and Fribourg in 2012, the company expands its presence in French-speaking Switzerland. netplus also pursues the development and distribution of its TV products and features. Its interactive television services have attracted over 10,000 customers.
    During the first half of 2013, the netBox is distributed across the Sion, Sierre and Fribourg networks and all of the partners now provide the same interactive television offer.
     
  • 2010–2011: Launch of digital television and the netBox  
    Customers of cable networks in French-speaking Valais and on the Vaud side of the Chablais region are able to receive 49, and then 70 free digital channels, all as part of the basic analogue TV subscription.  
    In 2011, the free offer expands to a total of 110 free channels, seven of which are in high definition. The netBox Premium TV offer becomes available for part of the network.  
    netplus serves 48,000 internet customers and 22,000 telephone service customers.
     
  • 2007–2009: Product development    
    netplus continues to improve its services. Email storage capacity is increased and new services are added (calendar, contact directory, anti-spam/antivirus, webmail).
    In 2008, the company serves 35,000 internet customers and 6,000 telephone service customers. The product portfolio is reviewed and simplified. Internet speeds are significantly improved.
    The Radionet+ internet radio station (accessible via the cable network) launches in 2009.
     
  • 2006: The Triple Play offer surfaces thanks to phone services  
    netplus invests two million francs in order to create its telephone service offer, making it the second operator in Switzerland to provide a Triple Play offer. Our customers can simultaneously call, surf the web and watch TV. That same year, netplus is a finalist of the Prix Sommet prize: from audacity to success.
     
  • 2003–2004: Expansion of the network and launch of netplus.ch S.A.
    With the acquisition of the company Télédis Monthey by SEIC in 2003, netplus’s distribution zone expands to the Chablais region in the cantons of Vaud and Valais.
    The following year, Sinergy Commerce S.A. (the cable network for Martigny and the surrounding region) joins this association, which is transformed into a limited company under the name of netplus.ch S.A.
     
  • 2001: First range of internet products  
    The netLight, netFun and netPro cable internet products are launched. 2,500 internet customers are won over by the offer, which is also distributed by Télédistribution Intercommunale S.A., Teltron S.A. and the Saxon and Saillon municipalities.
     
  • 2000: Year of creation  
    Télévision Sierre S.A., Antenne collective de la ville de Sion, Sateldranse S.A. and Service Electrique Intercommunal S.A. (SEIC, based in Vernayaz) team up to create the netplus association and develop a range of internet access products that use a cable network.
